I think this must be the little fellow who taps on my window
When I'm laying in bed, I can often hear some tapping on the window behind my bed. I think it might be this little fellow who wants to wake me up each morning so that I can give him his breakfast!!! I just love little blue tits and this one was taken from down below looking up at the tiles and you can just see the white edge of the old metal window frame which is my bedroom window. The blue tit proceeded to fly up onto the roof to peck at the grubs hiding in the moss on the tiles.
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs and for the new followers of my project. I am so pleased that you are following me and hope that you like my shots.
At Camera Club last night, we had Bob Brind-Surch giving us a talk on camera settings and he is such an interesting speaker and brings, what could be a very dry subject, to life. He runs safaris and all sorts of wildlife photography workshops. He also has a guided wildlife photographic workshop in the Bavarian National Park and I'm seriously thinking that maybe I should give it a go. It includes brown bears, grey wolves, lynx, wild boar, beavers and European bison so it sounds really interesting and I know he would make it fun too. It might be a start to go to Europe rather than Costa Rica where I really fancy as I have been to Bavaria before. -Although this was many years ago and certainly not on my own as it was an exchange with the twin town of Bamberg which is twinned with Bedford. I've now got to put into practice what I learnt last night but I couldn't work it out without looking at the book because I didn't know how to change the exposure compensation which is probably the only thing I didn't have much idea about. Reading the histogram and making the changes hopefully should made a difference to the blown out or dark areas of some of my shots which I tend to throw out.
It's a lovely blue tit, but if it tapped on my window in the morning it might become a lesser blue-tit. We are the same subject today Rosie, I do like a good birdie picture. FAV.
Oh he is so cute and I am with you, I don't use the histogram either and yet I should be. The guy that gave a talk at the camera club group I go to said exactly the same thing. I suppose it's all about getting to know our cameras and how to utilize the and to go on a Safari trip purely for photography OMG!!!!! That would be absolutely incredible. Your bird photos are so very beautiful Rosie and I love looking through them. We have the same passion.....birds :-)
A very sweet little bird. The talk sounds very useful, I really should get my head around more of the technical stuff rather than pointing my camera and hoping for the best. The Bavarian trip sounds amazing and although you'v been before you probably know such much more about photography now and would really be able to make the most of it, especially with an expert on hand!
@pixiemac@paulaw Thanks I've been looking at flights and I can't believe it because I can't find a flight that would get there at the right time. I would need to be there before 3pm and the nearest I can get to that is gone 4pm - I'm gutted!
@paulaw The trip would be in either April or June and I fancied June. The dates in July are all booked and I would have to find somewhere to stay near the airport - it's all just a bit more complicated if you are travelling on your own as the chap who takes you round would meet you at the airport in Munch
That wildlife photography trip sounds fab!
