He stopped to smell the flowers

I couldn't resist this as a title as it just looked as though one of the red legged partridges that visit my garden was smelling the forget-me-knots. These are actually growing on the edge of my vegetable plot and although I did pull some up, I left these along the side.

It is extremely windy today and I did go for a short walk along Wood Lane but although I heard a lot of birds singing, I didn't get a chance to photograph them as I think they must have been hanging on to the trees. I tried recording a lovely song thrush singing but unfortunately there is the sound of the wind as the background so not very successful.

I really must process my pics from Bavaria but I've ordered Elements 13 as 11 will not process RAW files from my Nikon. It is very annoying because it has taken me ages just to try to process a few and as my friends all know, I don't really do editing but thought I had better shoot in RAW as I was among photographers who only shoot that way.

Thank you for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
