This poor little greenfinch was sitting on the bird bath trying to decide whether it was too cold for a bath. In the end, I think he was sensible deciding that he would wait until it got a bit warmer! He is all fluffed up trying to keep warm after he had been having a good feed of sunflower hearts.

It was a bit brisk today. Our hedgehog decided that, discretion being the better part of valour, he would stay in his hibernaculum full of warm hay, dried leaves and shredded paper (we do spoil him) rather than come out for his plate of meaty cat food. This is the first time this year that comfort and warmth has beaten the urge for a free meal!
