This is a filler as I have been to work today and then called at the Doctors for my prescription. The pharmacist said she hadn't received my request and I took my last tablet this morning but couldn't order this particular tablet any earlier as they had put a "not before" date on it so I wasn't particularly thrilled but she did relent and give me the tablets. I would have ordered them with the rest of my medication if it hadn't had a "not before" date. It is so frustrating as the parking charges went up on 1 January and I daren't park down there without paying for half an hour!
Then I called at my friend Geof's to help him with his camera. He has a Canon D400 which I am not familiar with but was concerned that he might have to buy new lenses as he had previously used a 35mm film camera. I was able to reassure him that he wouldn't have to do this as the lens had autofocus built in and the camera body also had autofocus anyway. I found the controls on the Canon very confusing but managed to work out some of the basics. I have googled and found a book on Amazon that his wife was ordering for him as I left. I will go back and see how he is getting on when he has had a chance to work some more things out with the aid of the book.
I also visited while working today a lady whose husband sadly died just before Christmas and she was glad to have a visit so I'm glad I went.
Thank you for your kind comments and Favs and for getting both of yesterday's shots on PP. It really is much appreciated.
Wonderful detailed photo of this beautiful bird! I've never seen this type of bird; it is so nice to be able to "see" through 365 so many birds that I would otherwise never know.
I've also never heard of a "not before" date on a prescription; sounds like it is extra hassle to have to deal with.
@dsp2 I book my prescriptions on line and sometimes they put a date that says you cannot order any more before a certain date and it's a bit annoying when you take a few medications but they don't always give you the same amount of each drug. My blood pressure medication is usually a 3 months supply because I'm not going to ever be able to stop taking them. However, some medication is only given a month at a time and it's not an addictive medication and I've been taking it for years so I don't know what the problem is. Annoying though
Hi Rosie, hope you do not mind me butting in regarding your prescription. I used to work in a dispensing doctors surgery. Often is can be an over enthusiastic dispenser with the pc playing a part. (Hassle I know) If you go back to the doctor they should be able to sort it. The med is crucial as you say. Hope you do get it sorted.
@claireuk Thank you Claire for telling me that. I must admit one of the dispensers is a bit awkward and she was the one I had to ask for med. I don't know why she is scratchy as the other girl is always very friendly and helpful. It's a shame some people go through life being miserable

What a busy day you have had.
