Mrs Kingfisher

I've had a lovely day with my friend Sarah @pixiemac over her way which made a nice change of scenery. We were lucky enough to find Mrs Kingfisher which is the first one I've photographed this year!

I am planning an excursion tomorrow or Friday to lie in wait in a hide where there are supposed to be Kingfishers. Wish me luck

We have kingfishers here too but they are more green in colour, however I have noticed that the effect of light alters their colours so the same bird looks quite different from another angle.
