Good news! I have had a follow up at Addenbrookes and the Doctor told me that I can start wearing my contact lenses and my macular hole has healed. He showed me the scans of before and after and although it's not quite as perfect as my right eye, it's looking very good. I cannot thank the staff at Addenbrookes enough. They have taken great care of me and I am truly thankful. Now all I need to do is go and see my Optician for some new lenses as the prescription is not right for my healed eye so I am still having to put glasses on to type this which is frustrating.
Thanks to everyone for putting all 3 of yesterday's images on PP - I am truly amazed. I am off to Camera Club tonight and we have a marvellous speaker coming called Alex Hyde who is giving a talk on macro photography and he will be presenting images of some taken not only in this country but in Borneo and the rain forest so it should be very interesting.
Wonderful news Rosie so pleased for you!! After all the trauma you deserve some great news!! Alex Hyde used to work with my friend Simon Watkinson in Derbyshire. He helped out on one of the courses I was on doing processing after a day out in the Dales. His macro work is fabulous!!
Have fun at Camera Club. It sounds interesting.
I'm happy for you.
