As I hadn't been down the brook for a while, I thought I would just pop down to see whether I could see any of the kingfishers. After 20 minutes, this little lady appeared. She perched on the branch and then flew off. I had 3 clicks on the camera and got her! I was so pleased as I didn't really expect to see her. I hadn't set my camera up with remote but just sat and watched with camera in hand. The beauty of this new lens with teleconverter is 600mm!
I am not sure how a female has moved onto the territory as it is usually occupied by a male but anyway, it was nice to see her.
