Feeding frenzy by rosiekind

Feeding frenzy

We woke up to that white stuff falling out of the sky! However, it didn't last long and fortunately for us, it has now almost gone. I think other people though haven't been so lucky as about 24,000 people are without power! I'm glad I'm not one of them.

Anyway, the birds have been extremely hungry as it is very cold and they have been busy at the feeders all day. This is just one of my 13 feeders that it outside my kitchen window. They certainly were very grateful, even if they were a bit squabbly, to have plenty to eat. I had to refill the nut feeder across the garden as Woodie had been, Squizzer had also taken more than his share and so the blue tits and even chaffinches were looking for more. It is the only time I have ventured outside today apart from feeding the blackbirds before breakfast.

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
Lovely image full of colour, detail and movement Rosie, stayed at my sons last night lots of snow in his part of Derbyshire fortunately no power problems.
