Jay by rosiekind

Jay

I spent an hour down the brook and "hide man" was there again. He waits until I've got everything set up and then decides to move and makes a big deal out of it over the other side. This obviously disturbs the kingfishers which is very annoying as I have been visiting them since March this year and for the third year running. Everything was OK until he decided to visit.

Anyway, as I was leaving (after not getting one single shot) and saw this jay in the trees. I think he was looking for little baby blue tits that I heard in one of the trees. I don't think he was successful as I had gone back to the car to get my camera and he was still in the other tree away from the blue tits. Not a terribly good shot but I haven't managed to see one for ages. When I was driving back home, I saw another one in the road where I live. Two in one day! I was very surprised but perhaps I shouldn't have been because there are lots of baby birds around and these pretty but naughty birds like to grab one for their lunch.

Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
It still is a lovely shot! This hide man sounds like a character of note that should get a telling to ;-)
