This is a lovely flower in our conservatory and it’s a quick shot because it’s been a horrible wet day. I keep thinking of the saying “be careful what you wish for “ because we needed rain but we could have done without the torrential down pour! I think this is some kind of azalea but I’m not sure.
We have had a jay in the garden as well as a sparrowhawk that grabbed one of the small birds and flew off with it between its claws but I didn’t get a shot.
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs. It is always much appreciated.
What a beautiful flower! Nature can be so cruel! Ken spotted Tigger with a sparrow in his mouth yesterday, so I raced out, yelled "NO!" and swatted him to no avail until I pried his jaws open and the bird flew out! I think he may have been bringing me a wee gift as he seemed quite attached to me the rest of the day (and into the night!) like he was almost remorseful!
@Weezilou I'm glad that you managed to save the bird. I used to have a collar with a bell attached so that my cat couldn't catch the birds because they always heard him coming!
