I had a nice walk in the sunshine this morning and went down to the lock. I had just moved a bit closer to this greenfinch by going into the field marked "No Right of Way" when I saw a chap coming towards me. I jokingly said "you can't read the sign either" and laughed. He then replied that he was the one of the owners! I felt so embarrassed. Anyway, he said that he didn't mind me walking through the field as it was obvious I was only taking photos of the wildlife. He then said that he was waiting for one of the co-owners as they had experienced vandals damaging the fences.
I thought this little greenfinch looked rather nice as he was eating the blackberries.

It's nice to find a nice landowner now and again. I too have a couple that allow me access to their land as I'm always carrying my camera. That's a lovely Green finch. fav
