Baby crow in the lilac tree by rosiekind

Baby crow in the lilac tree

And baby crow likes us because he came back and let me get close to him sitting in the lilac tree. His Mummy was shouting a warning to him but I told him that us humans are quite safe because we love him and he seemed quite happy with that explanation.
Super capture!!

I like covids, they are very intelligent and are one of the few species of birds that learn to use items in their environment as tools--they can also learn to talk. It's unfortunate that people think they are evil because they are black and that they are bad omens. It's not fair. Whenever I post pictures of black birds on sharing sites I don't get much positive feedback. Great capture Rosie.

@tomsde Thanks Thomas I'm glad you agree with me that they are very clever birds and I really like them. As you say, you never seem to get any feedback on black birds on sharing sites. Sometimes with less colourful birds, I don't think people realise the lengths you go to to get a shot and because the bird is not colourful, people don't appreciate them. Reed warblers are just such birds as they are so difficult to get a sighting of let alone a shot but I never seem to get many comments for those birds which are really sweet
