Swallows but no amazons

I saw these swallows (I actually counted 9) and they were preening on the telegraph wires above Wood Lane. I think they are lovely birds and I did actually see one of the adults feeding a little one on the wire.

I always think of the Arthur Ransome book Swallows & Amazons which I read as a child - great story! I still do love reading and always read in bed at night before I go to sleep
