This is Dave Robinson a friend we have made through going to watch rock bands locally. Dave is quite a character and as you can see he has grown a handlebar moustache. We saw him yesterday (which was a nice sunny warm day) at the Ickwell May Day. Ickwell is a typically English village and the properties sit around a very large green. They have a May Pole and both children and adults dance around on May Day. There are also lots of stalls selling all kinds of things from bric-a-brac to plants, jewellery, etc. We always go there on May Day as it's a traditional English custom which has not died in this village. We usually meet a few friends as we are walking round so it makes a nice afternoon out and it's only about 5 miles from where we live.
I have only taken about 12 pics since I returned from Bavaria but my arm still hurts considerably so I'm not sure what has happened to it but it's my right arm (and I'm right handed) and I find that I can't carry anything with it.
Great picture Rosie. I used to dance with the Heartsease dancers who also dance at Ickwell. However, I've never been to the Ickwell fair as they always dance at the Eaton Socon fair first. Must make a point of going next year.
