Nuthatch by rosiekind

Nuthatch

It was a job to get any shots of the nuthatch that didn't involve a feeder! The one time he landed on a log, he shot off straight away so I had to make do with this one.

I met my old friend Ernie up at RSPB and he filled the feeders near the hide before we went inside to take some photos. The hide was full of walkers but they soon left and I stayed there until I was so cold, I could hardly feel my hands and feet although I did have gloves on.

I don't see Ernie very often now because he is caring for his wife who is not very good. She is quite a bit older than him and has had a kidney transplant but has a lot of other health problems. It was Ernie who got me interested in photography so I am always thankful for that.
Fabulous capture. You are ahead of me as I have not snapped one lately.
