The young birds seem to know that I love them because they let me get quite close to them. It's lovely to know that they trust me and I always talk to them quietly so that they know I won't hurt them. I had just put some food on the sundial and this youngster was pecking up the sultanas that the bigger birds had tipped onto the grass.
