I thought it was lovely that baby robin perched on the feeder with his Daddy. I haven’t been out to hand feed Robbie today as it hasn’t stopped raining and I must admit I do feel rather guilty. Fortunately Robbie doesn’t seem to mind.
That's a very advanced chick, they normally wait in the bushes to be fed. I have even seen them stand on a bird table with a large amount of various foodstuff around and just stood and waited to be fed. Absolutely no attempt to feed themselves !!
@markp He didn't actually feed himself as something startled him and he flew off into the conifer but he's certainly trying because I have seen him on the ground pecking in the grass.
