Not a brilliant shot as he was amongst the grass and therefore doesn't really stand out but I was extremely pleased to get any kind of shot of him as I rarely see a green woodpecker. They are ground feeders which is why this fellow flew down to see what he could find. However, he didn't stay long and then flew up onto a telegraph pole and kept peeping round at me. The telegraph pole was in the sun and so he hasn't come out very well because his colouring is influenced by the sunshine
