Well it's no good saying crumbs although they do manage to eat these too!!!! The squirrels have been busy eating all the nuts and I've tried moving the feeders round to stop them. However, they just eat the food from the bird table or suet balls out of those feeders so I can't win really. However, although I call them naughty, I really do like them. In fact I like all the birds and animals that frequent our garden and if I didn't like them, I wouldn't spend so much on food for them. They are rather entertaining
Oh yes you've got him. Rosie, if you want to keep them off the bird feeders, one option is to give them their own feeder. You can get one that is the size of a Blue Tit nest box, it has a clear front so they can see the nuts and the lid lifts to allow them access . If you position this somewhere away from the bird feeders, but where you can still see it, they hopefully will spend more time on that one. It can stop them chewing the other feeders to pieces.
We have given up bothering....nothing stops them coming but it's not cheap to feed birds & these little blighters shoud be hunting for their own....too easy to pick the birds! Lovely capture Rosie!
