I noticed that the robins had obviously left the nest outside the front door and at first thought this was a baby robin who sat on the path in front of me but on closer inspection, I'm not sure whether this is in fact a dunnock. He has a chubby breast like a robin but the markings of a dunnock. Can anyone please enlighten me

Lovely clear shot Rosie, yes it is a young Dunnock, they are similar to young Robins, but the grey markings give it away.

Yes I agree with Mark @markp it's a dunnock. We have a baby just like it in our garden and I have been watching the parent dunnocks feeding it. Lovely capture with great detail! Fav!
