Another unusual visitor

The jackdaw helped himself to the suet balls. I have been outside to fill the feeders twice today to make sure that they are kept topped up. It is so important to make sure that the birds have plenty of food. Steve has just told me that there's a poor little bird frozen near the step outside the front door. That is just so sad and I suspect that he fell out of the ivy on the front of the house last night.
Water too is so important, I've had the kettle out twice today. I never see them drinking but I like to give them the chance.

wow! This is a good tick for the notebook! Have loved seeing your new visitors. I guess its one plus about this weather. Sorry to hear about the little one :-( I can just imagine us around the country going out with our kettles and extra feed! I was out in my dressing gown this morning feeding a male blackbird who has discovered where I keep my bin of seed by the back door and he just sits and waits for me to come out!! @happypat
