He was enjoying the pond too. I met a very nice lady in the hide with her little daughter Ruby and it was lovely to see youngsters being encouraged to enjoy nature. Ruby was delightful and she kept telling her mum to be quiet when we were talking about various birds. She is certainly learning the right way to watch birds.
@ludwigsdiana Hideman was someone who put up his own portable hide when I was photographing the kingfishers. Neither of us are allowed to do that now thanks to him objecting to me being there despite the fact that I had been photographing them for 2 years prior to him appearing on the scene
