So, this week's theme is buildings, which is lucky because there are many buildings in Croydon...

Pilotis are stilts or columns used in architecture to create space at ground level. They were part of Le Corbusier's manifesto for new architecture, and his modernist / brutalist influence is very much apparent around Croydon - even in this new development.
The columns make interesting patterns, looks like it has been raining too
