Reeves Corner by rumpelstiltskin

Reeves Corner

A lunchtime shot of a tram passing Reeves Corner. This part of Croydon was named after the Reeves family's furniture store 'House of Reeves', which opened in the 1860s. Unfortunately part of it was destroyed in an arson attack during the 2011 riots. Since then the council have tried to improve the area with various touches such as these beautiful flower beds.
I remember that incident on the telly. These are very colourful, the salvias are a nice backdrop to the begonias. I like the tram going by - it keeps the attention on the flowers.
