Hofkirche (Court Church)

The Hofkirche was built in 1553 by the Emperor Ferdinand I. It was a tribute to his grandfather Maximilian I, whose cenotaph lies in the middle of the nave. It is flanked by 14 bronze statues each side, sculpted by the most prominent artists of the period, including Albrecht Dürer.
