6 Burlington Gardens

Anyone who follows my project will know that I do like an impressive staircase! This was taken at the Royal Academy of Art's building in Burlington Gardens.

6 Burlington Gardens was designed by Sir James Pennethorne for the University of London in 1867-70. It was purchased by the Royal Academy of Arts in the late 1990s and following extensive redevelopment, it now connects to the RA's main building at Burlington House. Burlington Gardens hosts temporary exhibitions and the RA's permanent collection is on display, which includes Michaelangelo's marble sculpture 'Taddei Tondo' (the Virgin and Child with the infant St John) https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/article/how-to-read-it-michelangelo-taddei-tondo

The second I saw this I thought of those endless staircases in MC Eschers (Spelling?) art - cool POV here and I love the B & W
