After a wonderful day out showing friends the amazing Roman Ruins at Baalback, we headed home via smaller roads where we encountered a man-child spinning his souped up BMW and in danger of leaving all the rubber from his tyres on the road, endless fields of tobacco, a huge field of a much wackier type of backy and shepherds with sheep. We bought potatoes, from Syria, for the Ceilidh supper after inspection and bartering!
Most of this trip would be in red, no-go travel advisory areas, but I love the Beqaa - its rural earthiness strikes chords deep within me, the people are always incredibly welcoming, it's beautiful ........ those travel advisories are so over done.
@yrhenwr Thank you David, I believe that people use hate and fear as very effective weapons, there are so many no-go areas that if we followed them all we would never get out of the house, and depending on what's happening we might actually find ourselves living in one, mostly best ignored I think.
This country scene is so lovely showingi this simple way of life. The edit you chose gives a timeless feel & yet the single pole bringing modern facilities to this vulnerable place reminds us of a a world outside. Glad you can make your ownn mind up in situations such as this & travel to these places.
Amazing light in this late afternoon image. More power to you for your positive outlook on life. I love how you spread that positivity through this project
