50,000 by ruthmouch

Chreek, a local NGO and the Lebanese American University collected via local communities, 50,000 plastic bottles and built a Phoenician ship which they sailed (actually they were towed) the 35km from Byblos Harbour to Zaitunay Bay in Beirut.
This project will hopefully have increased awareness related to plastic waste, pollution of the sea and the fact that Lebanon has no strategic waste management plan.

Love the idea. Glad they weren't by themselves, in case the vessel wasn't seaworthy.
