Cobblestones

Weeding the cobbles is my own personal ''painting the Forth Bridge!'' It's pretty much never ending. The plus is that it still provides ample opportunities for socially distanced conversations with passers by. Last year we scatter salt, and it did a reasonable job of delaying regrowth, so will be doing that again.
Wow, that's a back breaking job. Still, a nice way to converse with the neighbours.

what a never ending job! I totally relate....all my yard is rock laid over dirt and I'm constantly weeding it as well.

That is a painstaking job...hard on the knees too. Our opposite neighbours have a large are of cobbles in front of their barn conversion & they weed it the same way....I e watched them & thought how glad I didn’t have to do that.....looks lovely weed free. I bet your house could tell some stories ...it looks a very important part of the village. You don’t have a very thick kneeler!

White vinegar does a good job, too.

Nice to learn to ideas - the salt and the vinegar - will give that t try on the pavers I've had put in by a friend - as carefully as he put it down, I'm still pulling weeds continually. Another of the goodies you learn on 365!

Hurts my knees when I look at it! You can get a long handled electrical device that gives a good dose of heat, one weed at a time, and you don't need to bend!
