Peeling

This old building looks pretty in pink from a distance, but close up it is showing its age.
Love those lines and textures

Enlarged you can really appreciate the textures, you've picked up some fine detail too, superb

Wonderful lines, textures, and colors in this shot. What a great find, Ross!

It still has glass in the windows. Nice work Ross.

Ah yes. My favorite subject matter at the moment. I could do these all days. They are just so USED. Nice detail Ross...and hey, pink and red look great together =)

@rachelwithey Thanks, Rachel. I would hate to be the guy to repaint this.

@ch1ppy_m1nton Thanks, masked man. I'm glad you like it.

@pflaume I've driven by this a thousand times, Lisa, but it is off the road behind a closed store. I finally walked back there today. Thanks.

@hollandcrew There are tools hanging in a window, Al, so someone might have a workshop in there.

@moreyoulessme Thanks, Jerri. I love this stuff too. Just about anything that looks old or abandoned has great appeal to me.

@atooner I almost used a closeup of the paint on that door instead of this shot, Amy. The detail was incredible.

@momzo That's a good way to characterize this, ks.

The same thing happens when you see me... I look good from a distance, but once you get close, I really show my age... LOL.

The color combination is incredible. Pink and red with brown impact. Looks a bit like it comes from Mars. Wonderful composition!

@anazad511 You can't fool me... I saw your photos with Dan Shectman, and you look great!

@beluga Thanks, beluga. It really looks out of place here in town. Our western towns don't have a lot of pink buildings.

@tesssa Thanks, Tessa. I suspect that people are getting tired of snow photos. Unfortunately, there will be more snow here! I'm glad you like this.

@fueast Thanks, Alison. I wish I had asked people to look large, so the detail really stands out.

@monkeykid Thank you, Therese. Maybe I should go back and look for details to photograph.

Love those textures! Peeling paint may not be so good for a building, but it sure is interesting to look at!

@aikiuser Agreed, Jenn. I don't really know the appeal, but I love it. Thanks.

Beautiful layers of color goin on here... Nice work

@roadshow Thanks, Gloria. I keep thinking there are more photos here. Maybe I need to go back.

A pink house....hmmm...what kind of premises ?
It's so rough, I love it

@gigiz There are carpenter's saws hanging in a window, and it is located behind an abandoned hardware store, so perhaps it was a shop of some sort. Maybe the pink paint was a reject at the hardware store, Gigi.

Great textures, I like this!

@soboy5 Amazing. I was commenting on one of your photos at the same instant you were commenting on one of mine. Thanks, Danny.
