Suffused with shades and textures, this was irresistible. I'm particularly pleased with the red foliage, just right of centre.

FYI this shot was taken about 100m from where Jeremiah and friend were boring holes for fence posts last Saturday, aka Screw you!
I do like the light and noticed the red leaf right off. How clever of you to capture it.

There was a time - not so long ago - that by mid-October, most of the leaves would have already fallen from the trees and those remaining would be any colour other than green... this gives the lie to that and is a quietly pleasing image.

This is really dense, and the touch of red is Roland Barthes' "punctum"

R explained to me RB's punctum and have since read about it. TYF this tickler. I found it informative, interesting...and now I'll be on the lôôkout for more to enhance my photographic efforts.
