Whilst I didn't think I'd achieved any worthwhile bird shots on a ramble which took us around Mouldon Hill Country Park, this tiny beetle (?) caught my eye.
I've just spent a disproportionate amount of time trying to it identify it...to no avail. It seems to be projecting a thread like secretion..? If anyone knows what this is I'd be pleased to know.
Hadn't thought about a chrysalis. Will go and talk to Mr Google.
