Another hard frost has been effective in annihilating our red cyclamens beyond the kitchen window. Undeterred they soldier on and a host of white buds...that will become red flowers...are preparing to replace their fallen friends. Nature rocks, OK!
I wonder if there are specific varieties of cyclamen, like many other species, finessed for different climates. Those available here in France are very much the same as those in the UK re climate tolerance. They are outdoor plants and thrive in cold weather. However, frost is not their friend, nor temps like yours, Babs, of 40C. They are amazingly resilient and do bounce back. I take them out when the weather gets warmer...and plant them out again as Autumn segues to Winter.
