Solitude by s4sayer

Solitude

This house belongs to Monsieur N, a long retired mason and widower. Whilst he doesn't walk as well as he used to, he drives with impunity. Passing by as dusk was falling, the chair seemed to present aspects beyond its function. Solitude and sadness...the same tomorrow, the day after...

Lonelier on black.
I had to look up that big word impunity! Sort of knew but then found I didn't. Perfect for what you mean! Perhaps he sits outside and watches life go by in this chair!

A very symbolic picture. Even better on black. Fav

A must on black. The chair commands attention. It would be nice to see him sitting in it.

Compelling story, gives a lot of meaning to the picture.

Neat low-key image...The spotlight on the chair tells a story. Great on black...

Because it is white and looks a little glossy I am thinking it represents hope.

This is an apt if poignant metaphor for our neighbour's situation... powerful photography.

Waiting for Mr. N to come out and sit for awhile.

Love the fact that the chair is so bright.

A throne, the strong backed chair represents a strong willed man. I too have to look up impunity.

And that little ceramic bunny in the background just adds another sense of solitude.

A black background enhances the sense of lonliness you have captured so well in this picture. Katharine
