Action packed day, little time for considered shots and inspired by AM Schilling's ’Moody Turtle' decided to mount a mini display of necklaces. The Forks and the Sugar Tongs are recycled cutlery remodelled by an Artisan craftsman at La Gacilly, about an hour's drive from Chez Sayer and my Christmas present from Richard. The necklace around the elbow and knee was my mother's and was given to her by a longstanding spinster friend of the family who lived with us for some years when I was a child and spoiled me rotten. The plain silver necklet has no fastening (also from La Gacilly) and sits on neck contours. I often wear this brooch with it, also Mum's, akimbo.
This is a great display and I really enjoyed hearing about the different pieces featured. The sculpture is UNIQUE. I wish I could still contort my body like that. fav
I am not a big jewelry wearer not that I don't like it I am just lazy and I like bangle bracelets the best and the annoy me when working. Mine is mostly costume. But maybe I'll pull some out for my next indoor shot. Thanks for sparking an idea. Love yours. Love the wood carving too.
@janturnbull They sit easily on the neck and the most awkward part is fastening the clasp hook, although I suspect/hope these will ease with use. They're great fun to wear and excite much comment ;-)
@joansmor Please do, Joan. My inspiration came from AM Schilling's shot 'Moody Turtle'. It would be great fun if each shot sparks other to do their version.
