Some Wedding Dress! Nifty 50: 5 of 30

I spotted this in a shop on the main drag. Think traffic in both directions, not necessarily taking heed of some tourist fogey, calming standing in the middle of the traffic to take this shot. No artistic merit, yet couldn't resist it.

On black, of course!
Surely not a new model. Appears to be right out of the Elizabethan age.

Great find and capture...I like the leaves that are strewn on sidewalk and the reflections. Neat, old wedding dress

I actually like the traffic reflections in the window. What an amazing old wedding dress

Kathy @randystreat is right - this looks like a wedding dress maid for Queen Elizabeth I... which is a bit ironic given that she died a maiden! Good spot though.

@randystreat @seattlite @seacreature
This wedding dress is brand new...in a very swish wedding boutique. Certainly hints of Elizabethan style, Kathy, although I think the collar is less elaborate, equally the skirt has less fabric and underpinning than the Elizabethan extravaganzas.

I'm not into artistic merit Margo - just letting my imagination go at the moment! I would have stopped to view this display!

Quite majestic and very Elizabethan. a definite Tudor feel to it with the head detached from the body.

Great find and capture and yes, it does look great on black. Lovely old style dress. Probably cost an arm and leg.

@maggiemae I did admire the dress before traffic dodging
@onewing @littleconnie Queen Elizabeth 1 might have found the detail on this somewhat lacking, although Ann Boleyn bore the cost by losing her head. I have reason to believe arms and legs reimagined intact ;-)

Not a dress every bride could pull off.

Oops...remained intact.

@joansmor ha! too true

This is a cool dress, though! And funny about standing in the middle of the street. Those people can wait!!
