The last of Summer's colourful insects? Nifty 50: 29 of 30.

Haven't seen any bees or butterflies since we came back from hols. This Red and Black Sheild Bug is doing its utmost to keep Nature's colours in our sights. Meantime spiders are doing their utmost (shot 27.09.17) as we segue into Autumn.

Black complements the bug's stripes.
I have enjoyed you nifty fifty images. One to go!

We've seen these before in the garden, but not elsewhere... they're certainly very handsome!

Delightful capture! And thanks for calling my emu chicks "humbugs on legs." I've now posted a photo of just 2 of the chicks with that as a title and everyone has love it :)
