White Amaryllis

This is one of 2 Amaryllis bulbs, ready planted that we bought from Lidl a couple of weeks ago. They live on the deep windowsill in the kitchen, enjoying good light, yet not too much heat. There is another floret yet to open on this stem...and yet another potential bloom preparing to double the pleasure.

Three open on this stem and one to go... it seems much more delicate in white as opposed to the usual red - nice one.

So pretty. They are lovely flowers. A friend of mine years ago when we were in Cyprus called her daughter Amaryllis. Not so sure I would want to be saddled with it as my name.
