Duck, accompanied by drinking Duckesse. by s4sayer

Duck, accompanied by drinking Duckesse.

There are several duck groups on Paimpont Lake. I often see them coming out of their overnight culverts and enjoying themselves on the lake in larger groups, sometimes splitting off from the others to meander elsewhere. It's a large lake for waterfowl. I’ve tried, times without number, to take shots as they move from night quarters to day playgrounds. Believe me, they can waddle with startling speed from culvert to water to ensure their safety. I was delighted to see this pair at the water's edge that made no attempt to flee. It's the first time I've managed to achieve such a shot.

I like this on black.
Great find and capture...These look like male and female mallards.

Well done on your capture. Lovely on black indeed. I note with a smile the drake having become a duck means the duck has to become duckesse. This reminds me of food item sizes in South Africa. We used to get small, medium, and large eggs. But nobody wants anything small, so now we only get "Large", "Extra Large" and "Jumbo" eggs.
