Triffids make a tearful farewell

Japanese Knotweed, aka Triffids at Vignouse, make as dramatic a departure as they do an enthusiastic blossoming. Whilst they make a wonderful wind and sound break in Summer, their departure afford us a clear view over the fields.

They look so pretty now, but when they are growing at 100mm a day... they earn their 'Triffids' nickname!

Those water droplets hanging from them really do look like tear drops. How did you manage that? The water drops here always just look like water drops!

This is the way they were...which was what made me take the shot. I've never seen such perfect droplets in Nature either! Maybe weather conditions and lots of fluke!
