4 Greenfinches...2 devouring peanuts and 2 on Face Time

These birds have increased in number every year. Meanwhile sparrows, robins, wrens, thrushes and blackbirds have considerably diminished...almost to the point of them being rare visitors to our sheltered garden and woodland. Change of agricultural practices has much to answer for vis à vis sustaining wild life. Sigh!

OB? O Yes!
So that's where all the greenfinches have gone!! I haven't had any ion my garden for the last couple of years and they used to be daily visitors!! Love your capture with great movement of the wings!!

stunning DOF - looks to me like there are two at the top! We have much to answer for in the way we are changing everything about this world :(

@koalagardens
You're quite right! I thought at first it was blur...R convinced me otherwise. 4 for the price of 3 seems a good deal ;-)

You've caught their combative nature well here - there's more than enough for everybody but Greenfinches can't tolerate any other birdsharing.
