Yesterday was this month's Repair Café. I'm one of the regular team that gives advice and/or effect repairs for electrical items, furniture, clothing, tools etc. Yesterday we also hosted a FabLab session as we have some talented IT members who were keen to provide a gateway for our local population...and beyond...to learn more about it. You might like to visit the links below.
Meanwhile, my colleagues' time continued with time tested repair methods. IMHO, Claude's Aran sweater ticks shape and texture criteria.
wow I just spent a while at fablabs and am quite awestruck by the ideas people have! I love the repair cafe concept and found that there are some in Australia too - there is one that happens in a town about an hours drive from me, where I sometimes meet one of my sons for lunch and a catch up.
Now back to your image - the way you have captured the collaboration of these two fellas is what I like most here :)
Sure would love one of those cafes around here! Texture is not the star of this shot- but that is inconsequential! It tells such a nice story with these two so intent on the object that needs fixing. Great shot!
