Leading Lines: Knitted Jacket in 1 piece

Mum taught me to knit...and whilst I no longer knit as much as I used to, this Elizabeth Zimmerman pattern is my oyster! It's a versatile design and caters for babies, children and adults. This one is a bit of a Joseph's Dream Coat insofaras it has many tones of blue, cream and tan and so a versatile staple in my wardrobe.

This is moss stitch? Very well done!

@maggiemae
Not moss stitch...rather every stitch, every row knit, Knit, KNIT! The only seams are collar to cuff!

@dide It IS cosy. I haven't quite finished it...I want/need to add buttons and loops on the inside, so that it can be fastened invisibly. The more of these I knit - particularly for special children - the more I keep tweaking. Takes longer than photos...yet more satisfying.

The designer was Elizabeth Zimmerman, who died some years ago and whose flair for design and love of symmetry spawned an interesting/different knitting experience. Her books are still being published. Her daughter, Meg Swansen, has grasped the baton.

It looks beautiful for the black and white theme, but I would love to see it in colour too.

Great lines. I might order the adult version of this, although I wasn't fond of knitting the baby verstion.
