This gate is on the main road running North/South through Paimpont. It leads to the Grotto of Notre Dame de Paimpont, many photos of which have been posted by both Richard & me. The maintenance of this gate and others on the path is in the gift of Les Paimpontais, aka locals. Rémy and a significant number of volunteers are conscientious in maintaining all the gates, the paths, flowerbeds and water sources and courses which have been gifted to Paimpont Abbey in perpetuity. Ladies clean the Grotte regularly, particularly for Marial Feast Days.
