Called 'Square balls' because they are in Victoria Square, Birmingham. There's a statue of Queen Victoria around here too. The building with the Doric columns to the left of the photo is the city's town hall.
@denisedaly@emer@terek55@pyrrhula@maryellen@bilky Thanks for the encouragement. There were many interesting sculptures and features in this square including amongst others, a sphinx and a fountain where the water ran down steps to a second pool (which had recently been repaired)
