Old fashioned brickwork sign at Brindleyplace. It's a pity there aren't more of these old, handpainted signs around, as they look very fitting in this canalside area alongside the charm of the narrow boats. This was the only one I spotted, although hopefully there may be a few more preserved further into the city (Birmingham) network.

Completely envious of the fact that you saw this and I didn't. I love the brick and how it stands out both in its natural state and painted. The ending saying is just icing on the cake.

@bilky @mittens @sparkle @denisedaly @giselle @alecio @tonje @nectarfizz @flygirl Thanks for the comments. In the original shot the brickwork and the sign wasn't as clear, I had to do a bit of processing to bring it out.

@shutterbugger It probably dates from the 1940's or something like that, but that's only a guess.
