Not really sure what I was going for here. It's more experimental than anything else.
I like fruit baskets because it gives you the ability to mail someone a piece of fruit without appearing insane. Like, if someone just mailed you an apple you'd be like, 'huh? What the hell is this?' But if it's in a fruit basket you're like, 'this is nice!'

@slang@jgoldrup True, it does look somewhat like a painting that's been slightly wiped. It's just a texture overlay which I thought might give the whole composition a bit more atmosphere.
@aj1268 Paula, not sure what you mean. The title? I just meant they are strange looking apples in the dark - which ended up being strangers in the night (as strangers in the dark didn't sound right somehow) Hope that explains.
@aj1268@laurentye Nope, not taken anywhere near a reflection. I do like the idea that you can both see trees. Can't see it myself though, unless you mean the area around the stems.
@aj1268 Okay, I was thinking as you see trees around the apple stems. Why not take a photo of an apple and of a tree and somehow merge the real tree emerging from its stem. Could be surreal goodness.
@aj1268 Oh, I see what you mean. Thin trees standing in a line with maybe something like firs further behind. I do see them now. I was looking for a different type of tree.
......I do love the editing and the editorial had me roflmao!
