"Just been for a walk and I fell over no less than 4 times, after being extremely careful trying not to fall walking where the footing seemed better. The 4th time right on my camera then into a frozen ball of hay. I left my imprint in that hay ball. Don't ask. Grumpy cat has nothing on how I'm feeling currently."
It doesn't look much here, but that handprint was me staving off hitting my head on that hay bale with the extent of my whole left arm (having camera in my other hand) Instead, I landed on my stomach winding myself just infront of it after tripping on one of those damn mole hills (one can be spotted just left of bale) or whatever they are. Needless to say, it hurt. It really hurt. The blurry bits in the photo are the side effects of the camera being in my hand at the time. Sadly, this may well be my last photo for a while if the camera isn't fixable.
Nb - Looking again at the imprint, it almost appears like a Che Guevara fist. There was plenty of resistance admittedly.
Oh no... just finished commenting a cheery "good morning" on your previous photo and now see this! Hope you're ok... and your camera! Your commitment to your project is commendable and duly noted!
Very cool fist imprint, the things we do for a shot. :) hope the camera survives, oh and you're Okay. Being a rise against fan, the fist reminds me the the rise against fist.. But the Guevara fist came first.
Ohhhh dear I feel your pain.... hope you are okay and not to badly damaged and of course your camera!!!
However your mishap did produce a cool shot!! ♥
@kalexa Well, I had fallen over 3 times before this one on various paths although not badly. I figured in a field I'd be okay. The camera works but is not focusing too well, and the manual focus on it is awful to use so I'm pondering my options at the moment.
@digitalrn Oh I'm fine, just was little bruised and shaken at the time. It's the auto focus on the camera that seems to have been affected as the motor in the lens was jolted.
Matt, I'm so sorry about your fall and your camera!!!!! I hope it can be repaired. If not, I really hope you get another camera! I love your pics AND the stories that go with them!!! I was just thinking about you on Saturday. On my drive to work, there's a fallen tree that looks like a dragon's head. :0)
Good story and shot. I really am liking your more abstract photos a lot. This one too. If you hadn't given the story i'd be starring at this for quite some time making up my own scenario. ;-)
