Big Red (or maybe Little Red) by sabresun

Big Red (or maybe Little Red)

I imagine Big Red lives here, or perhaps he should. Who is Big Red? It's the nickname for Hellboy. If you don't know who Hellboy is, well, he's a wise cracking superhero-type who just happens to be a fully fledged devil. He is completely red from horns to tail. He shaves (or grinds down) his horns as he doesn't like them much to try to fit in (which has to be more of a daily chore than regular shaving) He was found as an infant devil by the government when he accidentally passed through from another dimension as the by product of a dangerously ritualistic experiment. The experiment backfired, and they ended up with Big Red, although he was Little Red then. Ever since then, he has worked for them, the powers that be, to do good as pretty much all his formative years have been within this dimension. It's really quite a neat idea. He tends to fight supernatural beings that have also crossed over, that's he speciality. That's basically who he is, oh, and he likes cats. He dotes on cats much to the annoyance of everyone else around him with whom he's often rude and dismissive with. One last thing, I like that '78, red gate', just so happens to rhyme.

It could be Little Reds house. Ms.L.R.Ridinghood. I'm just saying.

@kazzamazoo Yes, it could, but the story would be less interesting. ;)

Kaz
lol =D You changed (or should I say, corrected) the title ;-)
Maybe......granny kicked out Ms Hood and she shacked up with Big Red? Two Reds make a Right?

@kazzamazoo Yes, I felt I had to after it after your comment or it'd be lacking the full plot. Or maybe I've lost the plot! hahaha

It is intense in this lighting, but then so is Big Red

Love that character! Cool shot.
February 27th, 2013
I love the color and the lighting.
February 27th, 2013
Fabulous !!! and yes I tink he must live there!

I like it, Hellboy is awesome sauce.

You may have just invented a new bingo call. ;-)
Cool shadows and the leaves over the gate look like the claws of some nameless creature waiting to pounce on an unsuspecting passer-by.
February 27th, 2013
@dulciknit I like the leaves being the paws of some creature, as those are the type of supernatural entities that HB deals with. As for a new Bingo call. Yes, it could lead to HOUSE! - You can groan at the terrible joke now :)
February 27th, 2013
@sabresun That's dreadful! :-D Note to self... seek employment as a comedian's straight 'man'.
February 27th, 2013
@dulciknit I still can't believe I didn't use that joke in the caption. I must be slipping.
February 27th, 2013
@sabresun You need a straight 'man'. I charge a reasonable hourly rate. ;-)
February 27th, 2013
@dulciknit You charge, I'll lead the follow ups. :)
February 27th, 2013
@sabresun At the risk of sounding repetitive - that's dreadful! ;-)
February 27th, 2013
Actually, it's rather clever, much as it pains me to admit it. :-D

I seriously think your night wanderings have gone to your head Matt..wouldn't like to meet you & Big Red on a dark night where ever you live!!!! I think it's time you came into the light!!!
A wonderful red gate glowing there , the number 66 might have been more apt!
February 27th, 2013
Or rather 666!
February 27th, 2013
@happypat Yes, but BIg Red is a good guy, Pat. :)
February 27th, 2013

Love the lighting, very cool!!!
February 28th, 2013

Mat(e) Number 78 is a very fine gate.... ... (okay my poetry leaves a lot to be desired...hangs head and shuffles away.. lol!) Gorgeous shot!! ♥

@aromatic "Number 78, is a very fine gate. It swings like fate, and then closes with a quake. Just for that it will wait." - attempting to keep the Big Red theme. :)
