Red bellied woodpecker having suet. by sailingmusic

Red bellied woodpecker having suet.

This guy was around the bird feeders and suet for a long time this morning in the rain. I had cardinals, doves, juncos, blue jays, titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, Carolina wrens, song wrens, robins, and who knows what else. It was amazing. Finally took down Christmas today. Sad to see it go. 1/4/2021PP

Great capture of this wonderful bird! Winter is such a good time for feeder watching ...and the Red-bellied woodpeckers are so much fun to watch that it makes it worthwhile trudging out in the cold to keep the feeders filled :)
